Variations on a Theme by Robert Frost

by Phoebe Hurd

Two roads diverged in yellow wood
Three roads diverged in the quiet suburbs of southern france
Four roads diverged in a concrete jungle on the pacific seas

Several roads diverged onto one large road

They connect with millions of other roads
Some are similar
Some are different

Highways and byways
Main roads and side streets
Train crossings and bike lanes
One ways and dead ends

With all these roads
Diverging in all these places
That someone would fuss
Over just two
Seems
A bit
Absurd
